Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian Singer and Songwriter. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name could be spelled by the name AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from music blogs as well as the media. She has recorded several high-profile covers, such as Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) for John Lewis' Christmas advert as well as Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole), which are widely loved. Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music was discovering an old grand piano hidden in the attic. She was fascinated by what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to play music only for pleasure or as a means of development but instead, she must take it seriously. Thus, she began writing her own songs. Her inspirations include famous writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love of Bjork's style. After her mom told her that her songs can not only aid in her efforts to achieve fame but also make others see their importance to the world and appreciate the possibilities for the songs and her music, she was inspired to start playing in front of the public. As a young girl She began playing the piano and at nine, started writing songs. Her family didn't be aware until fourteen. Aurora's accomplishments were never her dream. According to her, she simply likes to write songs. For her, the music she composes is the way that she feels everything.
