Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial arts artist, and fights with the UFC flyweight division. Shevchenko is the older sister of former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career as a Muay Thai boxer. She was let go of the competition and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was defeated by Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina defeated Nievera by her striking skills that are superior to Nievera through a clinch using knees to body. The result was that Antonina was given a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters' Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke. She was also awarded the fight of the evening bonus for the fight. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Katlyn Cookagian, but she defeated Ariane Lipski's three bouts. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
