Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial arts artist, and fights with the UFC flyweight division. Shevchenko is the older sister of former UFC Flyweight champ as well as the fellow UFC fighter Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sporting career as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko did well in the competition in the finals and beat Suzane Miller in the finals with a the unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko won a second gold medal in 2007 a bronze in 2008, winning gold in 2011 and won the title of 2017 IFMA World Amateur MuayThailand Champion. Antonia began her professional career by ringing in 2003. She took home the WKC K-1 World Light Welterweight Championships in 2012 as well as in the lightweight division of Lion Fight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was a part of Isa TIDBLAD Keskikangas' fight for her last fight in the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by unanimity. Antonina shevchenko made her debut in a professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova, who was fighting at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She managed to take home the second-round TKO fight. She also won the following two games at the WXF: X-Impact World Championships which resulted in her having a record of 3-0. Shevchenko took a short break from MMA and focused on her kickboxing. Shevchenko made her comeback in 2017 against Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko took the victory over Anissa Haddaoui in a unanimous decision. She defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 by unanimity. She was let go of the competition and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was defeated by Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina defeated Nievera by her striking skills that are superior to Nievera through a clinch using knees to body. The result was that Antonina was given a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters' Finale, where she faced Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took the win by unanimous decision, but she lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi with a split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke. She was also awarded the fight of the evening bonus for the fight. Shevchenko suffered defeat to Katlyn Cookagian, but she defeated Ariane Lipski's three bouts. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
